A New Year!

We started off the New Year by celebrating with our family friends.  The kids had an Art Party before the Taco Feast!
The Gang

We played some easy, cheap Minute to Win It games,

and then danced with the people from the Times Square.

Ella finally found a Minecraft shirt in the Girls' section and bought a new baby that makes all sorts of sounds!

Camden had a sweet big brother moment!

Then it snowed...

enough for the kids to play on the street!

Daddy played too.

Erik was wiped out.

Camden and his sled.

Then it turned to ice, so no school for 2 more days...we made a mini ice hockey rink with legos and spoons.

and had blue snowflake baths.

Finally the ice melted and we ran into our old babysitter, Kimmi, who attends college out of state now!

I made the January bulleting board for school.

We got new neighbors across the street and they have a little girl for Ella to play with!

Ella wanted to do some baking.

Dusty and Camden chillin with the Wii U

I dyed my hair for my birthday!

My parents came out and brought me cheesecake!

Erik played in my new comforter box!

Camden broke my lamp, so Grandpa Jim helped him fix it for me.

Grandma Jill checking out Camden's electronic set.

Brian bought me this new comforter set!

Erik had a sleepover with the neighbor boy, Spencer.

Ella is enjoying Brownies and it's cookie selling season again!

Luckily, she just wants to earn the patch so that is 30 boxes.
We learned about selling cookies at our meetings.

Sarah finally is sleeping in a dog bed again...she got fleas and wouldn't go back in the old bed!

Camden learned about First Aide at his Webelos meeting, how to treat a burn.

Watching Asa order GS cookies, hahaha!

Then we decided to move the boys in together....
and bought them bunk beds.

I still don't like not being able to reach Camden on the top, but now that he is almost ten... bunk beds do give many advantages though...

We bought the kids a Wii U for Christmas so we moved the Wii into their room with a TV.  I swore that I'd NEVER get a TV for the kids' room, but I did.

SO much floor space now with the bunk beds too!  Enough room to play Wii or make a mess!  It's basically given us a second living room space.  The kids can play Wii or play while Brian and I visit or watch TV.

Sarah loves the view from the bunk bed, but can't get up there by herself.

Ella loves her OWN room, for sure!

She wanted a Pink and Orange Art Room.

Grandma Jill painted the bookshelf, the 3 dollies on the wall and handmade her comforter too!
Then Erik decided to try baking...

Ella got her Art Easel we promised her.  (The boys got the TV)

We only allow her to draw on it in her room, but we do have paints for the summer when she can take it outside.  January was a good start of 2016.
