Skating Party

Ella was invited to a roller skating birthday party for her friend Sophie!

She was so excited! 

She knew most of the girls from Girl Scouts, but all the girls were friendly. 

There was a lot of hand holding, giggling, and singing from the girls.

Grandpa Jim's Birthday!

Grandpa Jim had his 71st birthday and Grandma Jill promised Erik a dessert tray.  Let's just say Erik was a little bit excited that she delivered!

 

The kids all played Legos while we got dinner ready for Grandpa Jim.

Dinner was BBQ chicken and really yummy. (Those are root beer bottles by the way!)

Sugar Bear sat with Grandma for presents!  I love hanging out with my family and making Grandparent memories for my kids!

Young Artists 2014

Ella and Camden entered an Art Contest to help raise money to keep art in public schools.  This year's theme was self portraits.  Here is Ella's!  I love her glasses and tongue!

She earned "Most Promising" for her age group!

 

Camden decided to make a face for his portrait!  His drawing had great detail and used colored pencils giving a more realistic look.

He earned 2nd place for his age division.  Both kids had a lot of fun drawing themselves, laughing at the pictures I took of them on the computer to draw from, and want to do it again next year.  (Erik chose to take a bubble bath that night instead of drawing himself!)

Erik's Recruitment

Erik has his first Cub Scout event as a Tiger Cub!  He was SO happy to have his friend, Ty with him!

Cub Scout Hockey

Our last Den Meeting for Camden's den was Hockey!  Brian and Camden had fun practicing before the other boys came.

Swimming

We got a call from our babysitter who came home for a week from college back East before she goes to work at a Camp this summer!  She invited us over to swim in her pool!  We stopped at a Taco House first for dinner in the sun.

Ella, who loves to take her time, brought and finished her dinner at the pool.  Mary was gracious enough to sit outside the gate with her until she finished.
