I Can See Clearly Now...

The twins had the eye exams after a recommendation from their medical doctor.  Erik barley passed without glasses.

Ella, poor thing, had to get her eyes dilated!  Her vision is blurry up close, and she was having depth perception problems as well.

She chose these purple fames for her first pair of glasses!

She was so excited!

Erik's Wii Sports Party

Erik chose a Sports theme for his 6th birthday party!  He wanted a piñata too.

The boys played a game of Wii bowling.

Played Pin the Baseball on the Glove.

And Shoot the Basketball.  All the games were simple yet fun.

Erik LOVED his piñata and the boys were really good about taking one of everything from it.  (I put in sets of 4-4 bouncy balls, 4 suckers, 4 stickers, 4 pencils, etc.)

Erik doesn't like cake, so we had rainbow sprinkle doughnuts instead.

He liked all his gifts, but the Sprite was his favorite!

Camden's Minecraft Creeper Party

Camden had his 8th birthday...wait my first born turned eight?!!!  He wanted a Minecraft Creeper party and Mommy delivered complete with homemade Creeper shirts for part favors!

Basically, we had 4 guests over and let them play Multiplayer Minecraft on the Funland Mod for 3 hours!  It was L-O-U-D!  These are normally quiet boys too.

We had Creeper cupcakes and ice cream,

Got the boys on a pretty good sugar high....

played a few party games and then

opened his birthday presents including Minecraft t-shirts!  Erik didn't get to come but he has requested a Minecraft party for next year!

Ella's 6th Birthday!

The kids wanted to have their own separate birthday parties this year.  The twins never had their own party before and Camden only had his first birthday by himself!  Ella chose a Puppy/Kitty party them and we had the kids adopt a stuffed puppy or kitty.

They chose a collar, a blanket, and then decorated their cardboard kennel for their new pet.  I brought out Ella's vet kit so the kids could give their pets a check up too!

Ella wanted rainbow chip cupcakes and ice cream!

She loved all her presents and remembered to say thank you to everyone.  She is becoming such a little lady!  Her party was on Sunday, and Monday was the twin's actual birthday.  We took them to Red Robin and gave them their new bikes at home!  Next is Camden's party on Wednesday and Erik's on Saturday!

Staff Lounge Makeover!

I spent all last week clearing, cleaning, painting and decorating the school staff lounge with my parents!  It was a lot of work and I didn't have much time for new posts, but I will show you lots of pictures of the project!  Here is the room before:
Here is after we painted, added the aspen tree mural, and found the matching chairs for the meeting table!  We also added a rest, relax and rejuvenate sign on the dry erase board and a flower arrangement.

Here is the before picture of the kitchen area!  The staff actually leaned over to get to the microwave!  The room has only one outlet in the room that we had to plug in a space heater, microwave and fridge into!

The kitchen space after on the right...

This is the left side of the kitchen space, my Mom made this awesome Teacher Café sign designed after "The Teacher's Lounge" store logo.

A big thanks to John who donated the space heater and my parents who painted the green accent walls, hung art, and supported me in this project!

The staff LOVED the finished space; I'm still receiving compliments from various teachers and staff!  I am glad to have to opportunity to enrich the teacher's space as it will directly affect my kids' educational experience!
