We finally found a female puppy that we thought would make a great family dog.
Brian traveled with Camden to Madras, OR to pick her up.
She was so happy to be home.
Cedar didn't eat much that first day, but I thought it was the excitement.
She slept a lot which is common for puppies.
Then she started throwing up and pooping.
Within the hour I had her at the vet because she could not hold her head up anymore and she was shaking, she tested positive for PARVO.
PARVO is a virus that most puppies die from, but Cedar had 3 shots already and we got her the first night's round of medicine.
Treating PARVO, since the virus last an average of 2-3 weeks is in the thousands.
We had our last night with her,
all 3 kids showered her with love,
and then we took her to the Oregon Humane Society
where they will give her full medical care until she recovers. They will keep her for another couple of weeks to make sure she is symptom free and then rehome her.
