Ella's Girl Scout Award

Ella had her big morning today.  She recited John 3:16 Bible verse and sang "I have Decided to Follow Jesus".    She even made 3 ladies cry!

Pastor Bill pinned on her My Faith award.

Ella was SO proud of herself and enjoyed all the attention she got afterwards!  She loved the pink cross the Alderson Grandparents gave her in her card for this special day!

Proud Erik

Erik was so surprised to be picked for Clubber of the Month for the entire Kindergarden class for having a positive attitude, memorizing Bible verses and good sportsmenship!

It's my job now to take the pictures of the 5 Clubbers of the Month and post them on the bulletin boards.  Erik was so proud of himself.  I recently found my new calling as a bulletin board artist!  I made this one.

John and I made this one a week later.  I put up AWANA pictures from the first dress up night.  I will change them pictures out occasionally.

The church has a youth Library and this bulletin board sits right outside it.  I just finished this bulletin board yesterday.  It took me 3 hours, but it will take less time the more boards I do!  (This is Moses parting the Red Sea; popping out of the Bible.)

Proud Camden

Camden is doing really well in school this year.  We were a little worried about the transition from Public to Charter school, but he is rocking it as you can see.  He is studying Greece and scored a 94% on his Geography assessment!  He took his 8th Mastery Math Test and received a whopping 98%!

Camden is also earning patches like crazy this Fall in Cub Scouts, check out his Brag Vest!

He is trying to earn every possible council segment (the arch shaped patches) once in his 4 years in Cub Scouting.  He has earned over 30 so far!  He also earned the sought after Cub Scout Outdoor Activity award, the blue pocket flap patch.

His belt is full of belt loops!  I am thinking of getting him the belt loop display rack for his room.  That way he can choose which ones to keep on his belt and hang the rest.  He has over 25 but the rack will hole 40, so game on Camden!

My First Pie!

My Mom came over and decided to teach me how to make a real homemade pie!  From scratch, people!  I love how my hair started down and by the last picture it up and all messy like a real baker!

Rolling out the pie crust was my least favorite part, it was hard to get it even and my hands got all sticky, ew!  Mom supported me through the whole thing (good thing too I might of made a run for it!)

Ta-da!  My first pie crust complete with finger pushed scalloped edges!  On to cutting and preparing the strawberries and filling-no pictures of the stove time...

The finished Fresh Strawberry Pie!
The greatest part of this experience?  When Brian got home I took the pie out and put it on the kitchen table.  He walked in, saw it and said excitedly, "Did your Mom bake me another pie?"  I was so proud my first attempt could pass as one of my Mom's veteran's pies!  Thanks Mom!
