Our school received a grant for art and music and the entire school had a week of Taiko Drum lessons! Ella's class went first, she is in the front row, just to the right of the main instructor.
The kids were so little up next to these huge drums! Erik's recital is today, but he is home with the flu. Poor guy. He has surgery in 7 days as well on his school Christmas party day.
This is the only close up I got of Ella, but she was walking away!
Camden's class had their recital in the gym due to schedule conflicts. It was also PJ day, so he is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle in the back row.
Playing a drumroll. I thought Camden would love the drums, but he didn't so much.
He did a great job paying attention and gave a good effort though.
The 3rd graders were tall enough to really strike the drums. The recital was much louder and more elaborate for sure.
