Cousin Sleepover

After attending a Girl Scout fundraiser together, we took Cousin home to Oregon for a sleepover!

The kids had a swim before coming in for the evening.
The big kids stayed up to watch Harry Potter!
Then in the morning, it was Minecraft first thing!
I pulled the kids away to drive them out to the Donut Barn for breakfast, yum.  The kids loved watching the baker make the donuts.
We went to see a movie at the theater and then went to the local school's playground and met up with a group of school friends.  It was like a recess with all the kids running around!
They played all afternoon and we headed to Abby's Pizza for dinner where Erik tried his first pizza in a couple of years!
Daddy/Uncle Brian met us after his long drive home from working out of town!  Everyone was excited to see him!
The kids were pretty tired the second night, so I just put the big kids to bed in Camden's room that night.
Camden was leaving for Scout Camp this day, so the kids played and ate until Grandma came.
We saw Camden off to camp with Daddy.
Then we took the 3 kids school clothes shopping the easy way:  kids in carts playing their DS!

The Stuffed Friends we didn't bring Home!

We went to  Toys R Us a month ago with the kids' spending money and I had to talk each one of them out of these animals.

Erik  loved this Leopard so much.  I loved his wonky eye, but we don't have room for more stuffed animals!
Camden wanted this doggie because he was a winner with a blue ribbon!  We are finishing a week at VBS and I have been taking a break from taking pictures this week.  It's nice to just be in the moment.

ICEES and Shoes

I got the boys to learn to tie their shoes....finally!
Look how excited Camden is!
Proud little boy!
We celebrated with ICEES at Target.  Ella could tie her shoes since she was 4!
It felt good on such a hot day.

Rollerskating!

We went rollerskating last week!  This is NOT Camden's favorite activity, but he tries harder when we bring a friend along.
They are getting to that age where Mommy taking pictures in not so cool!
Ella is off!
We try to invite friends who are still learning too, that way Camden gets to visit with them instead on watching them skate circles around him.
Erik is the first to skate off the wall and to wear skates without the wheels being tightened!  I bought a 10 admission pass, so I need to get the kids there 2 more times before school starts!

Library Events

We having been enjoying some time with friends at the library.  This time we saw the Juggling Man.
This was his finale, spinning a ball, juggling knives, balancing on a rolling board!
We also went to an Art Pet Parade Party at the library another day.
We took pictures of out Cat, Sarah, and then used different art media.
Camden has Sarah on her head holding the Creeper, he painted the cat's arms!

Black Butte 2014 Continuted

Day 3 started out with the kids and me up early with a cereal and cartoon breakfast!
Then I let them ride bikes in our driveway until the men got up.  Erik slid off the end of the paving and got a couple scraps!  He didn't cry though and got back on his bike after I put 3 bandaids on to cover them.
After everyone was up, fed, and ready we headed to the horse stables!
The shortest ride they offered was a 3 miler, so we opted for the parent led corral ride instead!  Camden wasn't thrilled to be on a horse, but he enjoyed the ride.
We walked, and walked, and walked.  I still can't figure out who was happier to stand in the shade here, the horse or me!  It was very dusty and I was getting very sweaty, not a great combo.
Erik didn't want to ride a horse at all, but he had a lot of fun!
Ella was in heaven on course and the last one of the horses in the end.
After lunch we went to the big pool!  Well, this is the baby wading pool!  I don't tolerate chlorine well, so I sat with our towel and things.  I read 200 pages in my book though (between taking pictures!)
To the far left, not pictured was an indoor pool with a tube slide.  They also had a spray park area, a deep pool and the wading pool!
Daddy being funny!
The kids checking out the spray area!
Ella
Camden swimming to Daddy.
Erik floating!
Hmmm, apparently I got tired after here because I didn't take anymore pictures?  We went out the Pub for Grandpa Gary's birthday and then the kids watched movie before bed.  Day 4 we got up, packed, and headed home!  It was a fun weekend.
Oh, yes, this was my favorite picture of me this vacation!

Black Butte Vacation 2014

We headed out to meet the Bowlsby Grandparents at the cabin after Brian got off of work on Thursday night.
We spent Thursday night relaxing and watching movies.

The next morning the kids and I kept quiet so that the grown ups could sleep in.  The cabin had a few new games we hadn't played before, that was fun!
The view from upstairs!
Ella spotted some horses out our backyard and asked to go see them.  They loved eating grass from our hands.
Ella stayed way longer than the rest of the family!
We just might have to add him to our family!
We headed into the resort side of the ranch and found a neat playground with climbing rocks for the kids.  We had a picnic lunch there and let the kids play.
Erik is on top of the world!
We rented a Fun Bike in the afternoon!
My handsome 8 year old boy!  He couldn't quite reach the pedal though.
My view from the back of the bike.  We rode down to the golf course to reserve a tee time for the men later that evening.
The kids played around on the bike while we waited for the guys to pay for their tee time.

A switch in sitting spots and we headed back to the Fun Bike Shop to return the bike before our hour was up.
Our view while biking!
Our front yard that evening!
We went out to eat and sat outside.  It was pretty chilly so we let the kids run around the tree to warm up!  They came back when the waiter brought their dessert cookies over.
Handsomeness.
Grandma Bonnie and her grandkids after dinner.  Day 3 next...
