Cub Scouts Season Starts

Well, it's officially Cub scout Season!  I made this sign for the boys to see what their responsibility is for  the next Pack meeting.  I made the den numbers with Velcro so we can reuse them.
Camden and Erik in their uniforms.  Camden was wearing his rank hat/scarf from last year and he received his new blue Bear ones during the meeting.
We had our first Pack Meeting tonight which is long with lots of parent information but my kids did well, except for when Camden stomped on Erik's foot!  Camden was asked to do the Flag, he is the yellow hat.
Erik and his friend Ty are the little ones in the front row.
The old Cubmaster had Brian crossover the bridge and presented him with his Cubmaster patch!  Brian starts running the Pack next month!

3rd Grade Sunday School Classroom

Camden moves up tot he 3rd grade Sunday School classroom this year.  He does not like change, but the classroom is not that welcoming either.  We decided to help change that yesterday!  I found these posters at the $1 store and put them up for some color on one wall.
This was the previous bulletin board I had done, so I just cut it down the middle and transferred it to the foldable wall.  It was hard to get it stapled straight because the vinyl is so floppy!
Then per Camden's request, I added this Minion bulletin board!  It took a total of 4 hours to transfer the old board and make the Minions and staple to up to the new board!  I was a sweaty mess, the church does not turn on the AC during the week.
Here is the view coming into the classroom to the left with Camden on the floor.  It was good for him to spend some time in the room too.
Here is the room looking to the right with the Minecraft poster I did last Fall too.  I didn't tear a long enough piece of the white paper, so I left it on one of the tables for the kids next Sunday as a surprise!
Camden won't move up until the first Sunday in September though.  We bought some new markers and crayons.  We also found a cool Lego container that has 2 building bases and Legos at Goodwill.  Camden was upset he had to leave the Legos behind in the old classroom!  Finally, I copied a bunch of Garfield, Pokémon, Calvin and Hobbes and of course Minefcraft coloring pages and put them into folders for the classroom.  Now, on to planning for Cub Scouts!

Church Campout 2014 Cont.

We started off the morning with some bike riding,
a little soccer with new friends,
and snuck in a coffee run too!
The afternoon was relaxing as I made the kids sit and eat candy.
Yum.
The girls colored for a while,
and the boys and Daddy played Matchbox cars.
After playing in the dirt, we decided to go on the Farm tour.
We piled into John's new van and threw all the kids in the back.
Silly kids.
Cute kids.
In motion!
The Tour Guides dress in costume and told us all about Farming.
Camden and I got too hot and sought shade under the Hopps.
Our view watching the Farm tour!
Camden found a bench in the shade.
Brian found a female Halloween spider.  Ew.
This old barn was cool.
Learning about the fruit orchards.
At the end of the tour, the kids got to pull out a carrot to eat.
Ella was the only one who wanted one though.
I made the twins lay down after the tour for a while.
Uncle John and Brian fixed the brake on Camden's bike.
Erik found a new favorite treat, Turkey Jerky!  He took the whole bag from me and sat behind this tree so no one would ask him to share!
Chillin'
Brian caught this cute moment with the twins.
Photo Bomb!
Saturday evening was the Church BBQ and service.  Eleanor told the kids a story about the lost sheep.  Then it was bed and Sunday morning we packed up and headed home!

Church Camp Out

Camden helped me pull out most of the camping gear Thursday night, he was tired when we got done!  Brian was working overtime and couldn't help pack.
The kids got dressed in the Camp shirts and helped carry the gear to the front lawn so I can pack the car up.
They carried trip after trip until we got the car loaded up.
Silly boys!  We waited for Uncle John to come load up our bikes in his new van so we didn't have to get the bike trailer hitch on.
Ella decided to take her new unicorn, Princess, with her camping!
We got to camp past dinner time, so we started cooking.  Camden helped me stir the corn and spaghetti while I set the table and then men set up the tents.
We carried over the 2nd picnic table to fit all 10 of us!
Camden's friend Ben showed up for our campfire that night and Ella has her friend Shae there too.
Erik kept checking down the road for his friend's family van to pull up.  It never did, we found out in the morning that they had to cancel and attend a family funeral.  Erik was so disappointed, but just played with Ella, Camden, and their friends.
Brian and I started cooking pancakes, bacon, and yogurt for breakfast for everyone!
The girls playing waiting for breakfast.
A stolen kiss caught on camera!
